Lollistix Wall Decals | FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Will Lollistix wall decals stick to textured walls?
Yes, Lollistix decals adhere well to many painted smooth and textured walls, including orange peel, knockdown texture, and painted cinder block.
Very heavy texture, certain paint finishes, dust, residue, and other surface conditions can affect adhesion. If you're unsure, we recommend testing your wall first.
Read our Wall Decals for Textured Walls guide for more details.
Do I need to prepare my wall first?
Yes. Your wall should be:
-
Properly primed and painted
-
Fully cured for at least 30 days after painting
-
Clean, dry, and free of dust or residue
Wipe the wall with a clean cloth and plain water before installation. Avoid household cleaners such as Windex, which may leave residue that affects adhesion.
See our How to Prepare Walls for Wall Decals guide for complete instructions.
Can I apply Lollistix to freshly painted walls?
No. Wait at least 30 days after painting before applying your decals, or longer if recommended by your paint manufacturer.
Fresh paint can continue to cure and release moisture and gases that may interfere with the adhesive.
What are Lollistix decals made from?
Lollistix decals are made from a soft, matte polyester fabric with a peel-and-stick adhesive.
They are vinyl-free, phthalate-free, non-toxic, and Class A fire-rated.
Are Lollistix decals removable?
Yes. Lollistix decals are designed to remove cleanly from properly primed, painted, and fully cured walls without leaving sticky residue.
The condition of the underlying paint matters. Poorly bonded, peeling, or unprimed paint may lift when any adhesive product is removed.
Can I reposition or reuse my decals?
Yes. Lollistix fabric decals can typically be repositioned and reused a few times when handled carefully and kept clean.
Repeated removal can reduce the adhesive's effectiveness.
Are Lollistix decals renter-friendly?
Yes. Their removable peel-and-stick design makes them a great option for apartments, rentals, dorms, and anyone who wants to decorate without making a permanent change.
Always follow your landlord's rules and test questionable paint surfaces first.
Can I use Lollistix decals in a bathroom?
Lollistix decals can be used in dry bathroom areas, but they are not recommended for surfaces that regularly get wet or rooms that become very steamy.
Excess moisture and humidity can affect the adhesive over time.
Can I put decals above a baby's crib?
We do not recommend placing removable wall decals directly above a crib where a decal could fall into the sleeping area.
Even though properly installed decals are designed to stay securely in place, wall and paint conditions can vary. For nurseries, we recommend placing decals beside the crib or elsewhere on the wall.
How do I apply my decals?
Most Lollistix decals simply peel, position, and smooth onto the wall.

Can I use Lollistix on bare drywall or unfinished cinder block?
No. The surface should be properly sealed, primed, and painted.
Bare drywall, unfinished masonry, and other porous or dusty surfaces may prevent the adhesive from bonding properly.
What if I'm not sure whether the decals will work on my wall?
The best way to know is to test your wall first.
Apply a small material sample to the same wall where you plan to use your decals and leave it in place for several days. This is especially helpful for heavily textured walls, unusual paint finishes, or older painted surfaces.
