We wanted to have something mermaid-y for an accent wall in our nursery. I looked up ways to paint scales or use stencils and it seemed like that would be a nightmare. My nana found these and bought them for us as a gift. My husband and I did have some difficulty applying the decals even though we followed the directions closely. It says that it won’t rip if the sticky sides stick together, but it is VERY nerve wracking. The most difficult part was peeling and applying the tail. There are still some bubbles, but our wall isn’t perfectly smooth so it is understandable. The final product did turn out great. We are very pleased even with the stress it caused. It took 1.5 hrs to apply the decal and we didn’t use all the scales. We think it’s worth it, but prepare yourself for some stress going into it!
